ADENA'S AMERICAN BISTRO & BAR - The Columbus Dispatch, By Will Christensen, 1 June 2005; When the word bistro is attached to a building near a shopping mall, I think it's an excuse to charge more for French onion soup. And how many bistros make hamburgers? Adena's does and does it well. Located in the former Dalt's next to Worthington Mall, Adena's fits the profile of a Max & Erma's more than a European dining location. Then again, it calls itself an American bistro. American is what Adena's does best. Adena's hamburger ($8) is a half-pound of chargrilled Black Angus beef that comes with a choice of toppings, such as caramelized onions, bacon or roasted peppers, among others, as well as the usual lettuce, tomato and red onion. I went with the Swiss cheese and sauteed mushrooms that overflowed the sides and was glad I did. . . Adena's offers other nontraditional bistro fare such as ribs and pizza and a number of entrees, priced between $14 for the fish and chips and $26 for the surf and turf. . . - suggest change
