Heaven!!
Forget calories, forget lo-fat, and throw carb counting out the window!! I had my first Murphy's Hot Hamburger about 5 years ago and I'm still in love. When I walked in I was warned by my friend that they had brown gravy and it was poured over everything. But for one second I forgot and when I saw it, thought chocolate? I really don't like Murphy's at all. For a dieter it is really hard to find a good meal at this resturaunt. They pour this brown gravy over everything so if you don't like the brown gravy I wouldn't recommend Murphys.    [28 Dec 2004 14:01:17]

Love that Hot Hamburger!!!!

This hot hamburger WOW gravy over all oh yeah. And the garlic dressing you have to try them both. This is a true down home kind of place you are honey darlin and sweetie. Then they have this ice that is like a slush. Real food
When you eat at Murphy's Steak house you get real food. They make it all. They make the gravy, which looks like chocalate. They make the dressing, the garlic is to die for. They even cut the steaks. The hamburger patties are formed by hand and they even cut the french fries.......seems like everything is made fresh.... no frozen crap...    [23 May 2006 23:15:48]

Top-notch!
Old-time, small town friendliness... have to wait for a table...so you visit with all the others who are waiting. Then you are seated and survey the menu... knowing that you'll have to have a steak or a hot hamburger... best we've ever eaten anywhere. We take foreign visitors there because it is a very special place ... and you can count on exceptional food from friendly folks.
