Spicy or Mild - Your Choice - Excellent
I have been there several times. Once I had one of the Lunch specials. It was hot with heat and Spice just as I had requested. The menu was well marked as to the authentically Spicy Szechwan dishes as well as those prepared for the milder occidental tastes.
The food was fresh and very good. I am known for my healthy appetite and the special was actually all I wanted to eat.
I was served very graciously by a knowledgeable waitperson. They kept very close watch over all aspects of serving me.
The first time I went there just a few minutes before closing time and was served by the proprietor herself. A recommendation from the menu was suggested, prepared and served promptly. Such service especially at just moments before closing time impressed me.
The same woman recognized me each time I went to that establishment and spoke to me in a friendly manner.
The restroom facilities were clean.
The ambience was very crisp, prompt, and light at lunch time. The same place with more subdued but adequate lighting and a background of gentle mood music was a soothing place to go for a relaxing evening meal.
The food has been excellent every time I have been there. The prices are very reasonable. The portions very generous. The staff is friendly without being too familiar or forward.
I am the stereo-typical motorcycle rider of the old school. I wear black leather to protect my own skin. My facial hair is long and the hair of my head cascades to near waist length. I received very gracious and prompt service. The Proprietor greets me and if I show the interest will gladly respond with conversation. Conversely I have been reticent there and had just the required interaction.
This is the best restaurant for authentic cuisine I have found in the local area. The food is four and a half star and the prices are very reasonable even when compared to mediocre restaurants in the area.    [17 Feb 2004 15:26:55]

Best In Town
I have been a frequent customer of the Szechuan for many years and am always impressed with the service and friendliness.

This is the best of the five or so Chinese restaurants in Bartlesville. How good is it? One time I asked for a custom-made dish not on the menu, and it was created promptly and was as delicious as I thought it would be.

I could go on and on...
I could go on and on about each aspect that I like about Szechuan but the best compliment I think I can give is that everytime my wife and I want excellent chinse food we both want to get Szechuan.

When we travel and eat at other Chinese restauarants we constantly compare them to Szechuan and wished we were back in B'Ville enjoying Szehcuan's.    [03 Mar 2008 17:36:23]
