Plainsman and Sam Sam is the owner with his wife of "The Plainsman" right off Interstate #35. When we are in Nardin, 7 miles from the Interstate, we often dine there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We particularly like their ribs. They literally fall off the bone. Sam and his wife are wonderful hosts. It is the gathering place for folks from Nardin, Blackwell and the surrounding area. Special People Work There Thanksgiving my daughters from Ohio and Wisconsin took their dad from Iowa down for the OU vs OSU game. On the way, they ate at the Plainsman. Not only was the food fantastic, the service exceeded all expectation. My Ohio daughter forgot her purse and was miles away before realizing it. The co-owner, Victoria, used my daughter's cell phone to call one of her contacts who contacted her husband, and in turn he contacted her. Oklahoma relatives near the restaurant went over the day after Thanksgiving and retrieved it for her. Okies are special and honest and go the extra mile. Thank you so much for ensuring their trip was not tainted with bad events. [04 Dec 2007 16:41:15]
