Bad Service??? This Place is for You I took my family to the diner this morning. It was not a pleasant family environment to begin with. It fits on the BOTTOM for Truckstop diners. The intial look from the first step in the door was dirty, ceiling tiles with holes in them from running water from the "Great" amounts of Water we have received this year in Tulsa during the greatest drought since the dustbowl. The seats were torn, it was dimly lit. But Being the eternal optimist I decided to give it a shot. Sometimes the kitchen staff and service are not reflected on managerial upkeep of the facility. The service and food were directly reflected in the ambiance created on the initial visual coming in the door. The waitstaff and managment were less than attentive than anticipated. the food was not outstanding, the vegatbles server with breakfast, tomatos, were unripe, the contents of my omlette were lacking in flavor, I had a Western omlette, the green pepers were unripe laking in flavor as well. The hashbrowns were uncooked in the center, but browned on the outside. The Biscuit which came with my Biscuit and gravy was abotu the size of one quarter of a half dollar roll aand over baked, almost burned. The eggs on the exterior of the omlette were over cooked to the point of starting to lace throughout. The waitstaff only came to the table to take the order deliver the order and ticket, which was done simultaneously. BUT although we had 3 empty drink glasses on the table the waitstaff proceded to sit and chatter with the table of regulars which had come in just after we arrived. Then to top off the entire experience when I left abotu a 2% tip for the waitress giving me less than 2% of the service I anticipated she had the gall to chase me down in the parking lot and throw the tip at me hurling insults. When I went back to the restraunt to speak with the manager and inform him this was not proper for a customer to view nor experience in his establishment he seems less than suprised.
I have a hobby of finding small hole in the wall, family diner type places which I can frequent and become a regular, but this by far was the worst dining experience of my life thus far. [26 Feb 2006 13:45:02]
