Very Expensive and Not Worth the Price I am originally from Israel; I am used to great Mediterranean food. I went to Hideaway and asked to have a pizza with no pork since I don't eat pork. After about 20 min the server came to tell me that she didn't know if pepperoni was pork or not so she got me a veggie pizza instead. [01 Jun 2004 20:37:04]

I Swear By It The last reviewer has perhaps not lived in Oklahoma too long. Unusual requests, and believe me strict vegetarianism and asking not to have any pork (can you imagine?! Ha.), are usually greeted sincerely. Several of my friends work at this restaurant, and if you are searching for a place that falls within a certain age group, high school teens to 20-somethings, you will fit right in. Hideaway is the standard I judge pizza restaurants by. I have lived in several fairly cosmopolitan college towns but nothing I have tasted, and I do make sure I taste everything, compares to Hideaway. I will note that the previous reviewer is correct: It is expensive. I do believe it should be a worth a try though, even if you are strapped for cash. [29 Apr 2005 22:11:23]

The Other Guy Just Can't Order Since when did pizza become Mediterranean? They have many unique pizzas to choose from and come loaded with delicious topping, not the generic over processed franchised toppings. [17 Aug 2005 20:33:33]

Delicious and Great Variety I love the Big Country, which is a carnivore's delight! The servers are usually very friendly and helpful. Love the bleu cheese dressing on the starter salad. My friends and I go there quite a lot because everyone can find something they like. [21 Jan 2006 11:54:42]

World's Best Pizza Discovered Hideaway Pizza in 1976 while attending OSU and it set the mark to which all pizzerias should strive. I have spent the last 26 years "roaming" the world with the Army and sampled pizzas everywhere I've traveled. Everyone knows soldiers love pizza so I don't hesitate to bestow my qualified endorsement that Hideaway Pizza is absolutely the best in the world. You are truly missing an experience if you don't sample one of their delicious pizza pies. [01 Jan 2007 02:52:22]

Heck Yes I go there about once a month and I am never disappointed. Absolutely, 100%, positively, the best pizza on the planet. [17 Apr 2007 22:52:17]

Our Favorite for Sure A little pricey, yes, but worth it. Can't wait for the new one to open on Northwest Expwy. The only downside is the distance we have to drive. [10 Nov 2007 19:12:03]

Don't Plan on Going Back I've always heard this was a great place, and decided to go with some friends. I placed my order (medium pepperoni) for myself and one of my kids and we never got our order. Our friends got their order pretty quick considering how busy they were. I asked our waitress many times where our pizza was and she constantly told me she'd look into it. My friends shared their pizza with us, but I left this restaurant very unhappy. I was never able to speak to the manager as I had asked before leaving, either. [26 Jan 2008 14:10:33]

Small Portion - High Price I was yearning for a good meatball sub. I searched all over the net and the phonebook and figured I would try Hideaway Pizza. The taste was OK but it was really tiny. The meatballs are tiny and cut in half so it feels like you are eating a thick meat sauce rather than meatballs. The price was too high. The server even mentioned that he thought the sub was really small and over priced. I did finally find a GREAT place to get Italian subs and wonderful authentic NY style pizza. [22 Apr 2009 10:56:16]
