Excellent food and great atmoshphere Although this restaurant may be a little more pricey than most in the Corvallis area it is by far one of the best restaurants I have ever dined at. Their food blends a mixture of northwestern flair with locally grown produce and allows for a delicious meal. The atmosphere is also very welcoming and comfortable for large or small parties. For the price it really isnt worth it. I went twice, the first time ordering the calzone, and the second time getting the lamb. I would rather have the calzone from my dorm any day and the lamb was also dissapointing. However a lot of people I know really like the restaurant. shrug. [06 Feb 2006 19:20:45]

Best in Corvallis! Big River is the best restaurant in Corvallis - by far. Cuisine, desserts and staff. Only drawback, they only take reservations for groups of 8+. My wait times has been half hour plus on weekdays and there is no room to wait in the bar.
However, this restaurant is well worth the wait and we will continue to frequent and recommend to our out-of-city friends. [12 Sep 2006 13:38:55]

Boring Overpriced Hype Big River is big on image, small on delivery. Food is bland, stale, uncreative. Popular in Corvallis only because this town doesn't know what fine dining is really about! [20 Jan 2007 11:21:41]

Pleasant and yummy Traveling through Corvallis, we took a large group to Big River on the recommendation of a nearby sales clerk. We really enjoyed the meal - a good selection. Even though we were up on the mezzanine, the ambiance was pleasant and the waitresses accommodating (despite the stairs). Being next to the waterfront park was great on a beautiful summer day. I didn't find the prices out of line - I was pleased that we found the place. [09 Sep 2007 00:44:35]
