Best moderately priced seafood We visited McGraths's for the first time and plan to go back often. Their fish and chips were the best we have had. There selection was so varied that even if you didn't like fish there was something for you. Their prices are very affordable and you certainly get a good value for your dollar. Poor service Why is it that every time you go to lunch at this establishment it takes 2 hours. We have stopped having any of our business meetings there. This together with the fact that you ask for something, perhaps more bread and you are lucky if you get it before the check comes. And add insult to injury....lunch has taken forever and low and behold the checks of those that ate the exact same thing have different totals on them. Don't dare ask for an explanation because they just say "Well I don't know" and consume even more of your precious time. I pretty much got up and went back into the area where they prep salads etc. and served myself. So for those that "don't know" should know this...The Depot Restaurant is now in Corvallis and I suggest that you try them next time. The service, the atmosphere as well as the food quality and quantity are definitley better then McGrath's. [26 Feb 2004 14:28:43]

Best Restaurant in Oregon We have lived in Oregon for over a year now and eat out often. We have not found a better restaurant than McGrath's ... none comes close. It's true, they do take their time, but we have not experienced long waits for our food. They have a large menu, lots of variety, perfectly prepared and reasonable prices. I couldn't recommend any improvements! Bob McKinney - ooginal at cablespeed dot com [14 Nov 2004 09:47:58]

consistently great food, consistently slow service For the money there is no better seafood restaurant. The parm halibut is a personal fav. I suspect the steaks are select, not choice, they tend to be quite chewy even though they have obviously been needled. Their dinner salad is one of the best, the warm sourdough is a welcome addition. Check the fresh list for favorites, they are consistently simple in preparation and excellent in taste. [15 Jun 2006 13:45:07]

OK, but.. several times, when we ordered halibut fish & chips, the fish served is NOT halibut.. very annoying since we are charged for halibut, which costs about 50% more! It will not happen again without me complaining about it! Nice breads, chips and salads though. [02 Oct 2006 13:59:10]
