Heavenly Dining - A+ Food, A+ Service, A+ View, A+ Cleanliness - WOW! Unvelievably great restaurant... actually, it's not just a restaurant... it was a wonderful dining experience! The food, service, view, and cleanliness of the RimRock was without fault. I wondered why there weren't other reviews on a place this good until I realized it was newly reopened/redesigned/new management.
First, the food was so tasty and healthy! Most of the food they serve is either local, organic, or both - fresh and expertly prepared. You can tell that they take pride in what they do. The house salad with fresh local greens was spectacular - my husband (the "I don't like eating salads guy") liked it so much for dinner, when we went for lunch the next day he ordered another one. (You know how some salads can taste bitter due to the greens? Don't know what they did... perhaps the cranberries, fresh honey-roasted walnuts, or strawberry vinaigrette dressing? Whatever, it was great). We had the wild caught salmon - yummy, for dinner & then out-of-this-world stuffed mushroom appetizers. Had fantastic sandwiches for lunch the next day in addition to the salads. Also, highly recommend getting the homemade strawberry lemonade when available.
Second, the view was wonderful. The B&B we stayed at in Joseph, OR recommended that we make a reservation for sunset. However, it is quite a long drive up the mountain to get there & we were not in the mood to drive in the dark on the way back. We were glad to see it during daylight... we had an absolutely beautiful view of the canyon & surrounding mountains/hills. Hummingbirds were feeding at the feeders, lush foliage... hmmm... is this what heaven is like?
Third, the service was excellent... friendly and efficient on both days. The manager of the restaurant is a young (late 20s?) gentleman, who REALLY cares about quality and customer service.
Lastly, the restaurant is CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. I peeked into the supply area (okay, I'm nosey) and everything was so neat and organized. Even the bathroom was elegantly spotless, and may I say, beautiful!?!
Oh, one more thing, the prices were VERY reasonable. I know they have a website that may have menus on it. [16 Jul 2007 20:09:11]
