Some of the best food I've had outside Italy

Genoa Move Over- Assaggio is back!
The most authentic Italian food we've had outside of Italy. Chef Jake is talented far beyond his 25 years and took special care of us on our anniversary. The place is a bit loud and reservations are hard to come by, but what else do you expect from a place with gracious service and detail oriented food. This may be my favorite restaurant in the US and the new staff is getting better and more consistent every time I go. If you think the Olive Garden is Italian food you should give Assaggio a try. It may be simple and well executed but it rivals the best Michelin stars of Italian haute cuisine. Great prices for such a quality experience!!! I wish more restaurants would represent Italian food in such a respectful manner.    [29 Nov 2006 23:16:42]
