COMMENT Apparently there has been a change in either ownership and/or management at your Original Roadhouse Inn in Springfield. While the servers are extremely pleasant, as always, the quality of food is definitely inferior. We dined at your restaurant on two separate occasions, in August and again in October. It was extremely disappointing and also embarassing especially since on both occasions we were entertaining guests or relatives from out of town who are real coniseur's of quality fine dining. What has happened to the wonderful prime rib and steaks you used to serve in varying degrees of doneness? Meals returned three times before we were told that entrees ordered were unavailable. Totally unsatisfactory. [27 Nov 2004 14:44:05]

Bad Cooks It is my feeling that your resturant is going downhill fast. The only thing that has stayed the same was the excellent service. My husband and I ate there in Aug of 07 and we had to send the baked potatoes back as they were cold. On Oct 6, 07 we were there again. Again great dissapointment. I ordered my old favorite, the hamburger steak to be cooked well done. Well, I should have sent it back the second time as it still was red inside and burned on the outside. The quality of meat was very inferior. The sauted mushrooms and onions that come with it were uneatable with way TOO much garlic. My husband had the same thing, and even he, who is a garlic lover, could not eat the mushrooms and onions and someone in the kitchen COATED the steak in pepper. It will be a very very long time before we eat there again or recommened it. [10 Oct 2007 18:04:54]
