Homemade pizza, sandwiches, and more... Good, fresh, food and friendly service.
Food:
While the few dishes that I have tried all tasted good and were served hot and fresh, nothing stands out as an amazing dish. This still puts the Tigard Pizza Kitchen way ahead of your typical Pizza chain or sandwich shop.
The ingredients used in all of the dishes are fresh, though much more mild in flavour than you will usually find in a pizza restaurant in the area. The Mediteranean pizza I had had a spiced ground beef, feta cheese, tomatoes, and pine nuts. It tasted good, but my brain was telling my mouth to expect more spice so the first couple of bites did not meet my expectations. Once I got used to the mild flavour, the pizza toppings were quite enjoyable and the flavours and textures of the toppings blended well.
The crust is another story. The dough used for the pizza is the same used for the pita bread. The flavour is good but it does not have the crisp bottom and chewy texture that I really enjoy in a good pizza.
The vegetarian special is quite good and makes a nice lunch with one of their green salads.
Service:
Good, though not consistent across the entire staff (family). I let them know that I was a first time customer and I was given a good description of the different dishes. Some of the staff are a bit inexperienced and the service that is received from them is polite but terse.
Ambiance:
Nothing to speak of. The place is fairly clean, but the place is small and it is tucked back in a mini-mall with no views.
Other:
While I do not recommend their pizzas for the crust, the toppings are good and fresh. If crust texture is not that important to you, then the pizzas are worth trying. [02 Jul 2007 15:24:14]

A lot more than a pizza place... Their menu is great. Many popular choices. Good Pizza Combination, great Mediterranean and vegetarian selections made fresh. you walk into the place, and the smell is terrific. Not a fancy place, but great food, and friendly service. [30 Oct 2007 01:12:21]
