Ham Fam Diner
The Ham Fam is a great place if you just order drinks but the food is mediocre. The restaurant is open 24 hours a day but the regular hours for dining are from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Fridays after 9:00p.m. are not a good time to come and
relax. Anytime during the week the diner does an average amount of business. Tuesdays are the best days to come to this diner. About two weeks ago I came into the diner at 10:00a.m. on a Tuesday I was seated right away the service was exceptional, the food was hot and the order was correct.    [02 Dec 1999 10:49:36]

Ham Fam Fridays
I completely disagree with the above reviewer. I am a daily patron of this diner, and I only go at night after 10pm and this includes Fridays. I have never got better service from any place I have eaten. And being in my early twentys, it is a great place to socialize and relax. So if you're young and need a place to hang out and be yourself this is your place.    [17 Jan 2002 07:21:11]

Hamilton Family Restaurant Everyday Except on Tuesdays and Thursdays
I've been a somewhat regular of Hamilton Family Restaurant for about going on 2 years in June. This place is one of the only places where the 18-30 can come in and just hang with friends. People of all types come and can just mesh without all the issues of stereotypes in society today. Punks, Goths, and just regular people. Just being themselves and okay with it. Oh note to the wise. If you don't smoke, don't come to the place after 10pm. The smoking section is the only place to be.    [08 Apr 2002 18:07:11]

Ham Fam Diner
I used to "diner rat" in this place during the spring of 2001-2002. The place has great food and has a great place to drink in the parking lot. Other than that, I highly recommend the food, but I hardly come up that ways anymore because I'm settled down and happy.    [16 Feb 2003 04:16:26]

A Ham Fam Review from an Adult
I find Sundays (after church) the most crowded at the Hamilton Family Restaurant. However, the diner has goofy pricing on the breakfast menus on the weekends; weekday items from the "fold" are $1.00 more. (Two eggs with toast and home fries is $1.75 on a weekday.) Better yet, order a breakfast special. The eggs benedict has been consistently good. The chipped beef on toast is hearty but I like a little more beef. The Hamilton burger is a handmade "loaded" burger with cheese, bacon, mushrooms, onions, lettuce, and tomato on a bakery roll served with fries and a cup of soup for under $5 - quite a lot of food for the price. My favorite seafood is the fried crab patty sandwich, but also is served as a meal and broiled. No green peppers in the filling. The cucumber salad is homemade. And desserts! You won't believe the variety of cakes and the huge piece you get.    [04 Nov 2003 14:42:03]

This is THE DINER
The ham fam is one of the best restaurants i have ever been to! I try to go every day to have some of their delicious salads, chicken fingers, fries, or spaghetti. There could not be a better place. People above must have gone somewhere different and were not sure what the restaurant was called, so they just named it a restaurant they were passing. All the waitresses were extremely nice, the food was cooked to perfection, and the girl at the register with the brown hair was so nice! GO THERE!    [27 Dec 2005 19:18:43]

No, we're all talking about the Ham Fam on Hamilton St. in Allentown
I went to the Ham Fam not too long ago, after they remodelled it. The food still is really nasty, even though the decor is nice. The only nice thing is that the waiter didn't charge me for dessert because I waited forever for my food. Not that much has changed since I went there during my internship in the office building across the street back in 2002.    [03 Jan 2006 13:53:04]
