One to Avoid
This bar really can't be called a restaurant; I think it just serves food so it can be open for liquor on Sundays. I had a taco plate, shells were soggy, "meat" tasteless, lettuce brown. Really Good Bar Food.
I strongly disagree with the first review. Mach's Gute has great bar food, and the Ribeye sandwich is especially tasty. Beer selection is OK and atmosphere is fun. The owners are fun guys and "LT" is a funny dude.    [05 Oct 2005 13:45:20]

Improvements!
Mach's Gute has definitely changed itself around. Thanks for a major renovation, this is a whole new bar. Stainless steel ceiling, low lighting for a casual feel, wood floors, crazy big flat panel plasma tv's all make this a major hot spot. I've been going there since it was a hole in the wall, and it's def. not like that anymore. Mach's Gute is definitely attracting a "wealthier" crowd and its a great plcae for nightlife. Love The Gute!!
The Mach's Gute is diffiently a great bar. I know for a fact because I am there just about everynight for a drink or two and some food that is to die for. Highly recommend the cheesesteak. Great Hangout!!
The Machs Gute has been through a lot of change, and I must say, its all for the better! Great menu with the freshest foods. Everyday there is a draft or bottle on special. Great selection of microbrew and seasonal beers. The staff at the gute is ALWAYS good to look at. This is definately a place you could go on date, or a casual night out. One of the best in Bethlehem
