Try this Historic Location
The King George II Inn has an ideal location, beautiful rooms and a wonderful woody bar with piano. Nice place to wait for your table to be ready or to enjoy a glass of wine. A decent wine list, good food, competent service, though for some reason there always seems to be kitchen noises in the upstairs dining room. Downstairs rooms are nicer but can be smokey.    [18 Apr 2001 11:44:13]

Best restaurant I've been to in a long time. Every last detail was attended to. Food was incredible. Fresh seafood, great bread and superb service. Definitely a five star experience. A wonderful evening!    [15 Nov 2001 19:10:42]

Very Good Food
I've been several times to King George in Historical Bristol. It's a little pricey, but due to the location - a view of the Delaware - and the ambiance of the restaurant, it's well worth the visit. The wait staff is always pleasant and the food is very authentic. The view of the Delaware from your table just can't be beat!    [10 Feb 2003 07:47:42]

Great Pre-Theatre Dining
Great location for dinner before catching a show at the Bristol Riverside Theatre. Have tried the others in town and the King George is, without question, deservedly the best. Kudos!    [02 May 2003 15:51:09]

Can't Ask for Better
The food and service is second to none. I'll be moving away, but will make sure I find the chance to come back and visit. Service is one of the best I know, and I recommend this place to all my friends. (But why did they take the Tirimisu off the dessert menu?)    [23 Jun 2003 10:06:55]

The Best French Onion Soup in the World
We have been to King George several times. We always enjoy the early bird and the French onion soup stands alone.    [29 Dec 2003 23:16:23]

Truly Outstanding Restaurant
There is no comparison in food and service. Great bar and excellent wine selection however a very limited snack bar menu.

Neeeds the tiramisu back on the dessert menu and where has Simon gone?    [01 Jan 2004 10:21:42]

Top Notch
Great food with warm ambience. Last dining experience was in the bar with a bit of piano in the background. Just great. And as always, an imaginative menu.    [25 Mar 2004 15:09:23]

A Visit to Bristol...
...is not complete without a stop at the "King." My wife and I, along with college classmates (Mr. and Mrs. C. Kane) have been stopping in for lunch or dinner after theater for 5 years or more.

The food and tone of the place is perfect. Elegance and hometown. A skilled friendly staff.    [10 May 2004 08:41:33]
