Excellent Bonjung is a great new addition to the Collegeville dining scene. Sure, you've been to the the new Pub and the new Diner, and The Trappe is still a great backup when you want to feel like you've smoked a carton of cigarettes after an hour or two of breathing in 2nd-hand smoke in that 8ft ceiling dining establishment, but if you're in the mood for a smoke-free, healthy and different dining experience, then Bonjung is the place. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is even better with a very roomy dining area, authentic sushi bar tended by Japanese chefs dressed in traditional white, and smooth listening music in the background. You really don't expect the inside to be like it is from the outside. Presentation is very nice and is complemented by a wide variety of diningware, from the plates and serving bowls to the sauce/dressing containers. It is BYOB, so you save a ton of $ by bringing your own wine. The menu is great and even those who don't like the raw-seafood thing can find something on the menu, like chicken terryaki or a hibachi selection. The only thing I could recommend to this restaurant is to turn the heat up just a bit. My wife and I were first seated at one of the windows and I asked to sit somewhere else. We were reseated away from the window, but still against an outside wall, and it was a little chilly, at least until I got some wasabi in the belly. But seriously, they should crank up the heat a bit in the winter months. That aside...you need to try this place...you won't be disappointed. My wife and I and another couple are going back this Saturday for dinner and continuing the Japanese thing afterwards by going to see King Kong!!! [08 Jan 2006 22:47:37]

Return customers We have been to Japanese restaurants throughout the Philadelphia area due to our love of the cuisine. Bon Jung offers the customary favorites as well as creative additions for the sushi lover. Udon soups, a personal favorite, come in several varieties. Service is very good. We have dined with and without our under two year old daughter and enjoyed ourselves. [04 Jul 2006 00:29:25]

Excellent Sushi I was so pleased when I visited Bonjung last week, what a wonderful experience! My wife and I usually have to travel quite a distance for outstanding sushi but we will travel no further from now on! [25 Jan 2007 12:55:37]
