great
It was the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Great service and great food.    [28 Nov 2004 21:04:24]

STAY AWAY! Everything was bad...
My wife and I had a particularly bad week. We decided to treat ourselves to a nice meal with no prep or clean up. We decided on Lonestar Steakhouse.

The steaks, ordered medium were grey all the way through, very tough, generally inedible.

The potatos were old, dry, tasteless. The condiments (Sour cream/cheese and bacon were tiny amounts.)

The potato skins were burned. I mean they were so hard they were truly inedible. If we hadn't thrown them away, we might have been able to use them as weapons.

The chicken fingers for our daughter were dry and tasteless. They forgot the barbeque sauce to dip them in.

The chocolate cake at 6 dollars was not good at all. It was a real disappointment. Dry, old, generally not good.

The order took twice as long than promised and there was only one family in the restaurant when I arrived to pick it up.

The "service" was terrible. I arrived at 9:15, they closed at 10:00, but the "greeter" sighed and looked at the clock when I walked in. He couldn't hide his relief when I said I had a pick up order.

The girl behind the bar (in the pickup area) was busy cleaning up and closing the bar area - too busy to get my order or even inform me that it wasn't ready. After 5 or 7 minutes, she said, "oh, sorry," when she did notice me. I had said, "hello" and "excuse me" several times, the music was too loud.

I cannot recommend this restaurant on any level. We ended up having to fix something at home after all the hassle of running out and, the near $50.00 expense.

Sometimes I think restaurant employees forget that they are serving people's dinner. Not just pumping out the orders. It's not enough to slap a steak and potato or whatever on a plate or in a container to go. You are preparing a meal that people are going to have to eat. Please, at the very least, make it edible.

This was a real disappointment in every sense of the word. We had hoped to find a new place for us to eat bi-weekly or so. Back to Outback across the street for now...    [18 Jul 2006 13:06:51]
