New Management Killed It One of the best restaurants in town - or at least it was. Very recently the place switched hands and lost almost all of the existing staff. The Chef took off, and so did the quality. The cozy bar area has been stripped of its charm and is now similar to the dining room, only difference are the beer taps.
The food used to be spectacular, a little pricy, but I'll never be back due to the terrible changes. [29 Mar 2005 21:36:49]

Very enjoyable evening! It was our first time going to this restaurant and it quickly impressed me. Our host was very welcoming, we did not have reservations but we were quickly sat at a nice table upstairs. Our waitress was quick to get our drink orders and was very attentive the rest of the evening. The crab appetizer special was awesome and for dinner the tuna was also excellent. I don't know how it was before the new management took over, but the evening could not have been better in my opinion. [19 Jul 2005 15:33:41]

Excellent Food/So-So Service The food was first-rate. The crabcake appetizer and the lobster bisque were both well above average. The restaurant's version of a "Surf & Turf" (giant scallops and lamb chops)was nicely done with a killer wine sauce. The wine list was small but very inventive and interesting, especially considering this is Pennsylvania--the land of the State Liquor Store. The waiter seemed a bit distracted, although pleasant enough--just not attentive enough. But the food here is some of the best I've eaten in Doylestown. I am not sure what the first reviewer is talking about, but they seem to have definitely recovered. [27 Dec 2005 21:13:47]

not the best I have given this place 2 chances and each time they failed to thrill me. The food to me was really quite mediocre. When I go out to eat, especially to a nice restaurant, I would like to have quality food that I could not make for myself at home. This was not the case here. The garden was lovely though.
