Disappointing Dinner at Haydn Zug's I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit to Haydn Zug's restaurant. The service was pitiful. The food was overpriced and cold to boot! The menu was cumbersome. Half orders were advertised but when ordered, were not available. The full orders seemed to be half orders. [29 Jan 2002 19:50:03]

Delicious lunch at Haydn Zug's Delicious lunch at Haydn Zug's
My husband and I were extremely pleased with our recent lunch at Haydn Zug's restaurant. I had a lump crabcake which had very little, if any, filler. It was beautifully presented and it was delicious. The best I've ever had this far from the Chesapeake Bay. My husband had the spinach salad. The spinach was young and tender and the salad was perfectly seasoned.
Our waiter was extremely helpful and courteous in answering our questions. The service was excellent: our food arrived hot, water glasses were filled promptly, and plates cleared away quickly. Even though we were there late for lunch, we didn't feel rushed at any time. [20 Oct 2002 22:19:36]

Great Dinner Experience My wife and I had a very enjoyable dinner in Haydn Zug's intimate atmosphere in November. The house wines were very good, the appetizers were great, and the "half portions" for the dinners were quite adequate. My wife had a dish called lemon fish, while I had the lamb steaks. Fantastic Experience This restaurant has some of the best food in Central PA. We visited mid-day for Easter and are planning to return for future holidays. The menu offers something for everyone, items that appeal to more traditional members of the family and also some more unusual items for those who like to experiment a little bit with food. Presentation of the food was artful, the flavors were delicious. The service staff were some of the best I've experienced anywhere. Also, the staff were very accommodating with some gift items that we planned to pre-set at the tables. They pre-set them for us while we took a little tour of the restaurant. [08 Sep 2003 10:53:23]

Overpriced and overrated Portions shrinking, prices rising, and quality mediocre. Need I say more? The Tornados Chesapeake has gotten so small that 1 or 2 lumps of crab meat barely fit on top. [05 Mar 2005 22:16:26]
