Very Disappointing
As I have very much enjoyed the food at Sam's once before, I had hoped that this visit would have been just as pleasant. However, we never ordered this past Saturday evening ... 1/13/01. The hostess seated us in the smoking section as we requested, however she was very rude. Once seated, we noticed there were no ashtrays and requested one. Again, met with rudeness from the staff. Typical
Typical Delaware County Italian. There's one (or two or three) in every borough. Most of the people who eat here haven't been to anything other than the Erin Pub for 20 years, so the bar isn't set too high.    [17 Apr 2003 11:27:09]

Try it! You won't be disappointed!
The dishes here taste delicious. Try one of the specials you won't be disappointed. The staff are all very friendly and give you great service. I eat here about once a week and had booked my father's retirement party in their banquet room. The prices are very reasonable.    [22 Mar 2005 10:20:02]

A nice Experience
The food here is very good and the staff is great. My boyfriend and I went to dinner there one night. It was nice, a little old fashioned but nice. It is not very appealing to the younger crowds but once I was inside, it was a great experience.    [11 Jun 2005 15:04:13]

Wonderful food & entertainment

What is going on at Sam's
Been patrons of this fine establishment for years, and it was a great place! But since "Russ" the owner passed away, we've noticed many changes, none of them good! Lots of good, experienced & friendly servers have quit, including a favorite bartender, Jerry, who was there for years! The last time we visited for dinner, we waited a long time for our food and the excuse was that the new staff was not trained yet. The food was not as good, either. They've taken some of the Christmas lights down, taking away from the restaurant's charm and the area around the bar is much brighter, ruining the ambiance. In this business, a good staff is everything, but you cannot underestimate ambiance, either. Sam's is now lacking the great staff and the ambiance it once had.
