A good experience (Lunch only - haven't been there for dinner yet).
Food has an oriental Hawaiian orientation and is quite good. The menu changes frequently and is rather unusual. Only complaint is that the iced tea is served in absurdly small glasses for which they charge an absurd amount and its not replenished quickly or frequently. [21 Aug 2002 14:51:01]

Excellent My family and I spent a wonderful evening at The Hartwood last weekend. The service was excellent and the menu was a delicious and interestig fusion of Hawaiian, Asian and American fare--seemingly drawing the best from each for the dishes we ordered--La La Shrimp, Hawaiian chicken and Tofu stir fry. Our deserts were simpleand delicious - vanilla ice cream drizzled with caramel and nuts, creamy chocolate cake. All of this combined the soft ambiance of this quaint bookstore turned restaurant. A wonderful way to spend an evening. [09 Jan 2003 08:35:24]

Best Fireplace Table, Great Food. Excellent service, wonderful hosts and of course superb food. The food presentation is as good as any NYC restaurant. [04 Mar 2005 19:33:35]

awesome food, service and ambiance I have been to the Hartwood since they have open now for 7 years and things just keep getting better and better, fresh fish from Hawaii, outstanding salads and desserts and the wait staff is enjoyable and friendly. The place has added on a full pub and has two outdoor dining areas. The two chefs I have meet many times, we have become friends and they have always taking care of my family and me every time we go in for dinner. I highly recommend this place for a evening of exciting tastes from the pacific rim and beyond....menu changes daily [24 Aug 2007 00:47:05]
