Family oriented restaurant
Looks like a regular family gathering place. (Two family gatherings of 12-18 pp each one night). Average, basic food reasonably well prepared for reasonable prices. Stick with standard fare. Very small list of wines by the glass.    [21 Aug 2002 14:45:21]

What a find!
We had a wonderful experince at our visit. I had the Veal Romano that was piled high with artichokes and mushrooms A+++ and my two children shared apizza. The service was good the staff was friendly from the time we walked in the door until we left someone different was asking how we were doing and is everything ok. By time we left I felt as if the entire staff were personal friends. What a warm place to bring your family. A must try.    [08 Jan 2003 04:44:06]

Quaint!!
I loved the rustic feel. The staff could not be more friendly. This was my second visit for brunch, excellent. Selection is somewhat limited but all was excellent. Will be a regular now.    [08 Jun 2003 12:04:46]

Rude staff
I went there with a large group (12) and found that the waitress was rude throughout the entire meal. Then an error on her part for telling us she added in the necessary gratuity, but then not actually adding it in caused the manager to call and hassle one of the party members. The manager realized it was not our fault and she told us that the next time we were out there we could get free beer. So we again went out and before we even ordered we were accused of "stealing" the last time we were there. The manager who promised us the free beer wasn't there, but supposedly the other manager called her on the phone and said she never promised us anything. Again the waitress was rude (different one this time) and didn't care about making sure we had a pleasant experience, instead she just cared about her bill (which again was very large). The food is good but it was by far the rudest staff I have ever encountered. I would recommend eating somewhere else unless you don't care about rude waitresses.    [28 Aug 2006 10:07:07]

Not to sure about the last review but we found the staff to be very friendly and attentive we had three differnt servers checking on us and refilling our drinks and legs. The legs never ran out Yum.    [15 Sep 2006 03:16:38]

Worst Brunch ever
I went to the Easter Brunch at the Middle Road Inn and was highly disappointed in the service, cost and food. They give everybody the exact same seating time, so everybody arrives at about 11:30. You are left to stand in a super crowded room until they start calling off names like roll call. Then everybody is ordering drinks and trying to get food at the same time and it's mass chaos. The service is sub-standard, as the wait staff is literally trying to wait on about 100 people at the same time. This is no matter to them, as an 18% gratuity is added into the check. The menu is your basic brunch menu, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, an omelet station and various other stuff you normally see at a brunch buffet. The quality was marginal. The pancakes were crunchy, the bread was stale, the bacon had a cheap taste to it. I emailed the restaurant about my experience to give them feedback on what they may want to change. Their response to me left a worse taste in my mouth than the food at their buffet! This is a portion of what they replied:
"As far as the 18% gratuity and your drinks our servers give up their holiday to serve you. The 11:30 seating holds 94 guests how fast do you expect them to serve you they are doing the best they can. Finally to address the price once again. I am not sure if Eat and Park was open but they may be more in your price range The Easter Middle Road Inn served 376 guest and you are our one and only complaint I have people that drive in from Clevland for our Easter and Mothers day brunch every year and it is a success. All you had to do was call but seeing that you will never be back again we really don't care. "
I would have been offended if the grammar hadn't been so humorously poor. They insulted me for coming to their restaurant! The food, service and price just aren't worth it. Stay away from this brunch.    [11 Apr 2007 13:20:22]
