Good Beer, Food, and a Friendly Pub Atmosphere
20+ beers on tap, with stuff that you don't really find in many other places. I go there for my Boddington's or Fullers ESB fix. They also have a large selection of bottled beers. The food is pretty good too. I always go there for the Fish and Chips (with malt vinegar). It's a little slice of England right in the Philadelphia suburbs.    [22 Aug 2003 10:55:29]

As close to England as you can get
Great pub, lots of British imported beers and they even have cider on tap. The food is great and cheap, where else can you get 14 mozzerella sticks for 8 bucks? They even know what a shandy is.    [20 Jul 2006 20:00:14]

A RUDE awakening
I had always loved this place. Went their with my family often. Tipped the wait staff very, very well. I went in on a hot summer eve with my family and was wearing a "semi-sleeveless" shirt and was asked to either wear a different shirt or leave. No signs, no warning, no offer to sell me a "Union Jack's Shirt' on the cheap. Meanwhile I've been there when the "regulars" come in in tank tops... I WILL NEVER GO BACK    [23 Oct 2006 08:19:27]

friendliest bar in glenside
This is the best bar in Glenside by far. There is a great sense of camaraderie among the patrons. A strong set of regulars, and new-comers are warmly welcomed. Ignore the review about the sleeves, there IS a sign, and they just want to keep the atmosphere nice. There are always new and interesting beers coming through.    [18 Mar 2007 11:39:41]
