Real Mexican Food Cozumel is an awesome place. It's not flashy, spectacular or overdone appearance wise, but the food and the people make it a great choice. On your birthday the will sing to you, using traditional instuments. You can get a free dessert or drink depending on you ID! The staff are very friendly, and it's a great place for high school kids to try out their Spanish! Local papers often have buy one get one free coupons. [18 Jul 2004 19:29:00]

Best Mexican joint on the east coast I have been to other Mexican restaurants in PA near Gettysburg, I have been to ones in Pensacola, FL. I have been to ones in Columbia, Sc and even Augusta, GA.. and I'm sorry but none compare in food quality to Cozumel in Indiana, PA!!! I always try to find something similiar to my favorite dish, but I never can and I'm always disappointed! It's the only reason I miss Indiana, PA! [02 May 2006 08:18:54]

Worse than taco bell I don't understand why everyone likes this place. The food in NOT authentic nor is it particularly flavorful. My plate was partially pre-prepared and microwaved right before serving. Everything on my plate was soggy and wet, so much so that I had to eat my taco with a fork - the ground beef tasted like dogfood smells. I've given them two chances but i can't make myself like this slop. I've had better Mexican food from the taco bell on Oakland Ave.
And for dessert, an abnormally large bill considering the quality.
The staff was great and the ambiance acceptable. As a little background: I have been to Mexico and to Southern California and have enjoyed a variety of authentic and non authentic dishes from north and south of the border. [04 May 2006 15:43:10]

Truly Authentic I just returned from a business trip to Mexico City. I can't wait to get to Cozumel and tell the staff what a great job they do making authentic Mexican food. The food at Cozumel is very good and brings to mind the flavor and ambience of the Mexican food in central Mexico. (By the way, Taco Bell does not serve authentic Mexican food.)
I've eaten Mexican food in Dallas, TX, and San Diego, CA. I'm not Mexican, or Hispanic for that matter, but I love food and love ethnic food from all countries. Cozumel provides great ethnic Mexican food.
The staff is one of the best assets at Cozumel. I'm trying to teach my young children Spanish, and the waiters humor me by speaking Spanish with my kids. They're great. Plus, they do a wonderful job as waiters.
The price can't be beat. Even the dinner items are around $10 or less. You really get your money's worth. [02 Jul 2006 20:27:08]
