very disappointing
While the atmosphere was pleasant, the food was singularly unimpressive as was the service. My poached salmon was actually raw, and when I pointed this out to the woman who I believe was the maitre d', she asked me if I'd like it cooked some more. After it was returned (a little overdone this time, with the side dishes now tepid), she asked me if it was how I liked it implying that this had been a mere matter of taste. My partner had the duck duet, which was decent though not stunning. All in all the owner seems to have gone to great lengths to endow the place with a european flair, but this remains superficial and for the quality of food and service, outrageously expensive.    [29 Sep 2003 17:05:01]

waitress with no concept of etiquette
I went to this restaurant on Saturday, June 5 with my boyfriend, brother, sister-in-law, and 2 year old nephew. The total bill came to $80.35. I left $92.35 which is a 15% tip ($12). The waitress Dawn got very upset at us and made it very apparent that she was displeased. I don't know what she was expecting. 15% tip is normal and customary. I never had this happen before and was very upset and embarrassed by her. I will never go to this restaurant again and will spread the word.    [06 Jun 2004 22:14:55]

Been going to Karla's for the past 15 years,..and I can say they are back.
Food has been great,the service attentive and the atmosphere as always great.

Think this is one of the best restaurants in PA. Had crab with avocado and mango topped with decorative lettuce. Pesto and another seasoning were spooned around the outside. Was a Gourmet magazine presentation. Friends baked Brie with apricot topping was delicious. Pricing moderate to $$$. Service ok. A cute white table type restaurant    [21 Apr 2007 12:36:22]

Fabulous
My husband ate dinner here on a Saturday night and had a great experience; the french onion soup was fantastic, the wasabi crusted tuna (a special) was perfect, as was the coconut butterfish that I ordered. The waiter was quite a "character" but very funny and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this place.    [09 Jul 2007 11:05:56]
