Food Excellent, Service Terrible
We went to Michael A's with a group and our dinners were excellent. We had problems with the bill and two of the waitresses were very rude and arrogant. If you choice to go to Michael A's, ask for a server other than Courtney!    [10 Jan 2004 23:52:49]

Great italian food by real Italians
I worked for them years ago and am now a regular customer. We are always treated well by Michael and Philomena. Best home made Polenta you'll find anywhere. Good sauce and lots of choices on the menu.

First floor is more casual and fun. We like to sit there, although the upstairs is a bit nicer if that's what you like.    [15 Sep 2004 15:41:34]

Cold bread and overcooked pasta
My bread was colder than room temperature. I noticed that other baskets of bread were sitting on tables that were set up for customers - what about serving warm bread on a cold night? It didn't taste fresh at all. My ravioli was overcooked (my husband said he would have sent it back), and his gnocchi was also overcooked, although not as bad as mine was. My sauce had no spices added to it, but it was okay. RUDE RUDE waitress. Second time I went there - won't go again.    [07 Dec 2005 10:51:16]

Excellent food casual dining
Michael was the chef at the LaMont for 14 years. If he's cooking it's great. Love the jeans or tuxedo clientel. You never know what celeb is going to pop up in this neighborhood bar restaurant. Real Italian and real good    [15 May 2006 18:06:54]
