The Mighty Oak Barrel is a true "diamond in the rough." The food is consistently excellent, the wine choices are the best in the area and the atmosphere is unpretentious and welcoming.

Dining is casual with an affordable elegance; it's like being with friends and family who truly care about your culinery experience.

good food, bad service
My husband and I went to the Oak Barrel expecting the best. What we ended up with was great food and substandard service. Two couples arrived after us, but somehow got seated first. My husband's glass of wine was forgotten, as was my water. We waited over 25 minutes after being seated before anyone came to take drink orders. The wait for the check was equally long. Not sure if the great food makes up for the poor service. Also, the smoking of one customer made for a very unpleasant experience.    [11 Feb 2005 08:02:46]
