REAL Arabic Food!!!!! After living in the Middle East I've struggled to find tasty, authentic, and reasonably-priced Arabic food in the US. Alyan's fulfills all of these categories! It's simple, fast, and delicious. Their falafel is outstanding! It's almost as good as Abu-Shanab's in Jerusalem!!!! [25 Apr 2003 18:26:40]

Alyan's is the BEST!! I love Alyan's and have been purchasing their hummus and baba gannouj for a long time now, to take back to NJ with me. They have a great eating section to their restaurant with wonderful ambiance. If you come to Philly then you must come to this little slice of paradise burried away on 4th street. It's definitely a place that's vegetarian friendly. [28 Apr 2003 09:02:45]

Have only eaten here a couple of times but have enjoyed it thoroughly. Back dining area is cute and sort of romantic/exotic. Their fries are the BEST -- my husband swears by them and will trek down to South Street even at 10PM for take out. Recommended. [11 Jul 2003 16:35:54]

The BEST Lamb you've ever tasted I don't generally like lamb, but this restaurant changed my mind. Their lamb is so delicious, without a hint of gameyness. They make their Gyros with whole lamb and not that fake chopped meat stuff. Wonderful food all around. [17 Feb 2006 20:22:21]
