Best Food on South St Bain's on South Street is the best deli around. They make fresh, good food. The employees are friendly. The place is very clean. The daily specials are always a good value. [24 Jun 2003 13:40:03]

Bain's Deli Proves Superior at Bellevue I recently attended a debate convention in Philadelphia, but interestingly the highlight of the weekend was not a group discussion on abortion or pondering homosexual civil unions. In fact, it had nothing to do with politics, at all. The Bellevue Plaza in the Hyatt Hotel took my heart with Bain's Deli, a restaurant incomparable to its competitors. Seldom can u just stumble upon seafood salad. Shrimp salad: absolutely. Turkey salad: sure. Seafood salad: about as likely as seeing George Bush pronouce "nuclear" correctly. I picked up a soda and a bag of chips with my seafood salad on white bread and sat down to eat with a few friends. I can say without equivication it was the best sandwich, perhaps meal, I've had in years. The taste, the price, the friendly service - it all made sense. Bain's is truly "the" delicatessen of America. My only hope for improvement is that Bain's finds a new Director of Expansion. [17 Nov 2003 19:17:06]

BAINS DELI AT THE BOURSE BUILDING Just writing to say recently while touring Philadelphia, I found a great little food court in the Bourse building ,across from all the sites. I stopped by Bains Deli in the food court with my wife, and had a great lunch, the turkey they serve tasted like it was right of the bone none of that turkey you get at some delis that taste like its been made in a science lab. The people were very friendly and it was most enjoyable. [02 Mar 2007 23:07:18]

Bains Deli Bourse building I visited the Philadelphia Historic area recently with a school group from the Washington DC area. We contacted Bains through the Bourse's website and planned out some box lunches for the children,it was great the food was fresh, the service good, and the prices were unbeatable. We brought the children right to the counter were they were handed a self contained lunch, not only was it good food but healthy for the kids.I really enjoyed it. A real pleasure doing business with them. [06 Mar 2007 12:52:54]

Bain's Deli Bourse Building A great place to eat if your on the run,the staff there is very fast, but do not sacrafice great service for speed.I am in and out quickly with a great sandwich and plenty of smiles from there staff, which is perfect when you only have a limited time for lunch. They are a bright spot on a busy work day! [04 Apr 2007 22:46:41]
