Needs a Lot of Help My last visit to the cafe was a disapointment. It seems something is missing since ownership changed hands. The service has dropped as well as the feeling of being welcome at the door. The female manager would be best employed at a place like Denny's. [17 Aug 2003 03:53:40]

Service needs dramatic improvements I visit the Cafe several times a year for lunch and dinner. The food has always been the best...in fact, I don't think I've ever had a bad meal there. However, the service could be improved upon. I completely agree with another's comment about the female manager. She is cold and often rude. I'm not happy about the fact that you cannot have separate checks presented to you and have to have separate totals given at the cash register. This is time consuming for working folks who need to return back to their jobs in a timely manner. Most troublesome, however, is that their gift certificates have an expiration date of six months. Staff becomes very rude about honoring them past the expiration date and will actually refuse them. I used to receive several gift certificates to the Cafe from clients for Christmas gifts, etc. but have actually asked them to stop due to this ridiculous policy. [21 Mar 2005 15:57:33]

NOT impressed Our meal was actually going quite well until my friend found our receipt IN her food! Literally, mixed in with our food (gross!). She stopped eating and POLITELY brought it to our server's attention. She spoke with the owner (who also prepares the food). His response to us was irritation with US and refused to do anything. "It's only paper." He said. We won't go back. [01 Mar 2006 16:29:00]

Good food, bad service The food at this place is generally excellent. It's too bad I can't say the same thing about the service. As just one example, when you enter no one is there to greet you. The last time I was there I waited politely as the staff just passed me by as if they could care less that someone wanted to eat at their establishment. An off day perhaps? No, it has happened three times thus far. Really, where did the owner learn how to manage a restaurant? [14 May 2007 09:50:57]

Very Poor Service The food was great. It ends there. Our waitress was not very nice and she made multiple mistakes. My friend asked for the dressing on the side, but didn't get any at all. Everytime we asked for something to be corrected, it was as if we were the problem. This is suppose to be a nice dining experience, but it definitely was not welcoming. [08 Aug 2007 11:46:08]
