Not your ordinary pool hall The first day I stumbled into The Parlour for lunch I had no expectation, just a lot of hunger. As I entered I noted that the pool tables were in excellent condition...maybe better than any other pool hall I had ever been to. Then I sat at the bar and was greeted by Ken (the owner). He welcomed me in with a smile and told me about the menu. The food consisted of soups, salads, sandwiches, and other dinners. That might sound common but when you taste them you will immediately notice the detail that goes into the food. It is nothing less than excellent...especially the soups. By the way, if you like excellent Blues, Jazz and Swing, check out the Jukebox. It is filled with nothing but the best!
As for ambiance...it is a cool place just to hang out. The bar is lined with games like backgammon, cribbage, etch-a-sketch, and more. Everyone there is usually up for a game, making it an open friendly environment. [29 May 2003 10:23:19]

The Highlight of Main Street The atmosphere is wonderful and the service is impeccable. The owners Ken and Mary service the bar and ocassionally wait/serve. Their cheerful mood is contagious. While waiting for your food their are many ways to entertain yourself, obviously with a few racks of 9-ball. Or they have toys and games scattered along the bar like etch-a-sketch or trivial pursuit cards.
Then the meal with perfect food, wonderful service and a full pint of brew from their great variety.
Another interesting and unique touch is the change provided, silver dollars, half dollars and 2 dollar bills.
