I've been dining at the Roadhouse for a few years now and just had dinner there a few weeks ago.

I was a little disappointed with the menu. They used to have all the selections on a blackboard and I never had a bad meal there. Now it seems everything on the menu is smothered with too many ingredients and sauces. I had lamb there, which was very fatty and didn't even taste like lamb with all the added sauce on it. Also, the food comes out so quickly it makes one wonder if everything is frozen and microwaved. We were barely through our cocktails when the waitress rushed out with our meals.

However, the patio was a great place to eat with a nice blues band. If the menu would go back to what it was, and the staff wasn't in such a rush to bring food to the table, this would be a great restaurant.    [08 Aug 2002 10:45:14]

Charming - but the staff isn't - poor management
Stopped in for an impromptu visit last Saturday @ 6:45. Although there was a Skippack event that day, the outside patio was empty (2 tables). The two of asked to be seated. We didn't have a reseveration. The hostess said they only had inside tables, that the patio was booked at 7:00. Evenutally she sat us outside if we promised to leave by 7:50. Not a single other table showed up until 8:30 - an only 2 at that. 8 tables were open all night. Dinner was delish - chicken roulade.    [22 Sep 2005 11:39:50]
