Great small coffee house in downtown State College. Attracts many students, locals, tourists, great place to meet someone and enjoy a cup of coffee. Best coffee in the area, at a great price. You can enjoy it there or to-go. They also offer baked goods, pastries, espresso drinks, etc. []

Morning specialty.... This is a great place to go and meet someone; the food they offer is light, baked goods and cakes, but they are very good. The espresso drinks are presented well and the service is always fast. I have never heard anyone complain about this place, the coffee is so fabulous; you must go to this place! Coffee is so much better than starbucks! I used to stop by one of the various places on campus to get a burnt Starbucks coffee, but one afternoon came across this place and loved it! The drinks are some of the best I have had! I have brought friends and family here and everyone has loved it, it’s an upscale hang out for state college, and the karma is relaxed. Great Little Coffee Cafe Depending on when you go in there, sometimes it is really quiet. People are reading and studying, and sometimes there are people with their friends and it can be so loud, but don't let it be un-welcoming, because it is a small coffee place. The coffee is always excellent, always strong and hot, I have never had a problem here. They get fresh pastries every day and it is usually packed. There are no other places like this one, quick but a very nice atmosphere, and not expensive at all. [01 May 2002 18:38:41]

AWESOME coffee!!! This cafe is a great little place in downtown State College. Coffee is Wayyyyyyy better than Starbucks. They carry the Intelligentsia brand, from Chicago, which I am a fan of. They are not open too late, so it is more of a morning joint...but the coffee is delicious, smooth, flavorful, and served well. Sometimes, they offer organic items, or vegan, also gourmet foods that are locally made. [12 Feb 2007 23:56:03]

A HIDDEN GEM... in a town of stones! I was a assisting a professor at Penn State for awhile and really enjoyed meeting people and students at Saint's Cafe. Many language professors and international students frequent this cafe. it has a European, intellectual feel, not your wings and beer joint which State College is invaded with. All of the coffee drinks are great, they make yours they way you ask, and they have all different kinds of little desserts/pastries to nibble on with your hot coffee...the ambience is chill...popular for studying and meeting people [25 Apr 2007 17:34:36]
