Quick good ood
A very popular and crowded diner. Weekends you should get there before 9:30, or expect to wait. Constant companion enjoys the Wayne special - eggs with a cheese sauce, homefries that are actually cooked, and ample slices of bacon. I vary from waffles (ok), to pancakes (ok) to french toast (better) with the occasional grilled corn muffin. The vanilla shakes are a marvelous panacea for the prior nights activities. One of the things we usually joke about is whether they can beat their best record of serving our food in 6 minutes. That's fast.    [12 Nov 2002 18:24:59]

MMMMMM
OK, so this is my place...but there's a reason why Minella's is so popular. It defines the word diner in every way. And nothing beats the 1.75 fried egg sandwhich with pickles and chips.    [12 Nov 2003 02:29:35]

Minella's Main Line Diner
After the old Minella's was moved to Florida, a new building and new service were brought here to Wayne. The new Minella's has better help, the ambience is more pleasant and clean, and the food was definitely better. The first time I came here I ordered fried calamari, which had a nice taste but was invariably soggy. The second time I went I ordered french toast, which came out much better and had the soft texture that I enjoy. The dishes arrived quickly, and our waitress continually checked back with us to make sure that our food was to our liking. While still a diner, Minella's has definitely improved.    [11 Jan 2004 08:45:26]

Minellas is no longer just a diner in my book. I consider it a casual restaurant. Only problem is that when I go elsewhere to eat I end up saying how much better Minella's is.    [02 Aug 2004 03:50:12]

Horrendous service, horrible manager
This weekend we were yelled at by the so-called Manager/Owner because I was dissatisfied with my meal. In short, the person called my friend "woman," threw our receipt at my husband, and was the most obnoxious person I've ever come into contact with. I will never go back.    [23 Nov 2004 17:54:35]

Simply the best
I love Minella's because where else can I get breakfast at 8 o'clock on a Sunday night? All of their food is exceptional. Service is great and their prices are reasonable. Never saw a 27 hour diner that was so clean.    [16 Mar 2007 08:39:56]

Gourmet cooking, but servers need training
Positivies: Delicious diner food, well-prepared and presented in gourmet fashion. Chef deserves great praise. Varieties of freshly steamed vegetables are a real plus. Generous portions of all menu items are reasonably priced. Have been very pleased with all meal choices. Is a favorite place to take guests.

Negatives: -- Usually, same bus person wipes down table and immediately resets it with no obvious sanitizing of hands after prior table cleanup and before new table setup -- Same unclean rag often used to wipe consecutive tables and seats without even adding some form of sanitizer to rag between wipes -- Servers habitually touch fingers to lip surfaces of drink glasses contaminating rims -- During busiest hours, salad bowls often pre-filled in kitchen and then piled high to speed serving to customers; this is done without regard to possible contamination of food, since each salad touches bottom of bowl above -- Little wrapped butter containers are often touched by unclean fingers then thrown by server on top of freshly baked bread in baskets -- often observe female servers playing with their hair, before and after serving food with no evidence of hand sanitizing.    [14 Dec 2007 13:55:16]

My first and not last visit
How did I ever go without Minellas Diner? I was there for breakfast with my inlaws (their choice) and couldnt believe how busy they were. I ate breakfast and it was good but I was not convinced. Last night my wife and I were lazy so we packed the kids and went on an adventure. I cant tell you how convenient it was, food was good, fast, and plenty.    [04 Sep 2008 00:35:44]
