A Lot Has Changed My wife and I used to love this place but lately it is not so good. It used to be chock full of young, attractive friendly and professional people and now all you see are non-Americans, overweight and sloppy people, and a group of youngsters who appear to be unhappy and messy. Since we no longer had our normal crew to "people watch" we began to notice how dirty the restaurant is. I mean filthy, not only is the area and equipment unsightly but so are the chefs (there is an open kitchen and I use the term chef lightly as it implies professionalism). Their uniforms were not cleaned and their personal hygiene left much to be desired. Needless to say we became very critical of our food and it just didn't taste as good as we watched the preparer scratch his head while chopping asparagus. We will try again because the kids love to make their own pizza but my wife and I may stick to the pre-packaged dessert menu. [30 Aug 2003 12:34:52]

A lot has changed since the 2003 review The 2003 review did not do the Goose Creek Grill justice. For one thing, the ownership has changed. My wife and I have frequented the new ownership grill several times sewveral times and have been impressed. The menu is short on entrees, but the quality of food for the price is very reasonable. I did not see any of the short falls listed in the 2003 critique. Also, I am in the wine education business, and I enjoy the BYOB approach, especially with the non existence of a corkage fee. Hang in there Goose Creek, you are doing well. All the best. [17 Jul 2006 20:54:01]

Service was a little slow When we went it took us a little while to get served, but I don't agree with the 2003 review. "Non-Americans, overweight and sloppy"? Didn't see any of that. The restaurant was far from filthy. The food is good and the outdoor seating on a nice day is enjoyable. [17 Mar 2007 15:54:01]

Great place for breakfast! Sitting outside on the patio eating an omelet is one of the great pleasures in life!
Afterwards, you can stroll through the samll community park behind the building, and work off the pancakes! [21 Jun 2007 17:23:54]

Great Pizza and Calamari My wife, 6 year old and I were looking for a good experience, this restaurant did not disappoint. It was clean, the food excellent and ambiance good. We sat outside in the back corner near the goldfish (Koi) pond. We could not really hear the cars on 926. The Pizza was excellent rivaling Lombardi's in Philly and the Calamari tender. They are BOB so bring a nice bottle of wine if you like. Prices were very reasonable, this will become a favorite for us. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service was prompt, I tend to serially drain water glasses and mine was kept full. [03 Aug 2007 07:30:27]

Tasty food but servers need sanitation training POSITIVES: Offers tasty food choices in smoke free atmosphere; bathrooms appear cleaned routinely; service mostly swift and hot food is delivered hot. Cold dishes seem to be kept refrigerated. Staff are friendly and knowledable about most menu items.
NEGATIVES: (1) Staff often observed carelessly wrapping silverware in napkins by handling utensils in such a way as to contaminate food contact surfaces; some person often expected to answer telephone and operate cash register betweeen wrapping silverware; (2) dirty plates often removed from vacant tables by same person who then is immediately seen serving new food to other customers;(3) twice observed waitress picking dropped menus off dirty floor and returning them to main menu container without first cleaning; (4) most servers habitually handle drinking glasses carelessly by contaminating lip surfaces with fingers forgetting that not everyone likes to drink through a straw; (5)often observed youthfull servers playing with their hair, before and after serving food.
