Best Pizza This Side of Tiber
Cafe Luna is one of only a handful of eateries where my appetite remains intrigued and satisfied from antipasto through to dessert. Their pizza, despite not being made in a wood-fired oven, is the best pizza this side of the Tiber River -- and I lived 21 years in Italy, so I think I'm qualified to make that statement.
Their salads are utterly scrumptious; I suggest the mixed green, warm pear/bleu cheese with champagne vinagrette. Their entrees are a variety of the usual (roast chicken) and the eclectic. I really enjoy their pistachio encrusted tilapia served with specialty butters, crunchy fresh green beans and whipped sweet potatoes. Yum. A fine selection of desserts, all homemade; and a wide selection of wines. In warm weather, they have patio dining, however, inside or out, this is one dining experience you shouldn't miss out on.
