My Favorite Restaurant in Rhode Island For years La Camelia's has been one of RI's best known secrets. The couple who own and operate the restaurant prepare all the food fresh daily. They are also the only ones who work there.
It's atmosphere is small and quaint about 6-8 tables. There are complimenary pistachios. The food as always been delicious. Can't recommend this place enough, it's not fancy, just plain good. If you like middle eastern food, this is where you want to be. They also have vegetarian options plus serve beer and wine. [21 Apr 2002 14:28:34]

Best Restaurant in America I'm a Middle Eastern food lover. I'm a native Southern Californian, so I know my Middle Eastern food. I was attending a seminar at Brown Univeristy and discovered the greatest Middle Eastern restaurant I have ever been to. Now, I'm hooked. I make special trips to the New England area just to dine there. I love their appetizers. They are freshly prepared by the chef and the owner. The entrees are wonderful. I had the lamb chops that night. They were cooked to perfection on a charcoal gril. It was so tasty. The prices are very reasonable as well. I want to recommend La Camelia to everyone in America, especially those who are cautious about their health--like me. [10 Mar 2006 02:15:04]
