Great Dining

Okay Food/Long Wait
I went there with my girlfriend and our 11 month old son on Saturday 1/26/08. We were initially told it would be an hour wait. I wanted to go the girlfriend wanted to stay. An hour passed, then an hour and 10 minutes. I inquired about our seat and was told it would be 10 more minutes. 15 minutes went by and I asked again about being seated. We were told 20 more minutes. Having waited this long we decided to stay. 25 minutes after that we were finally seated. Total wait time to be seated: 1 hour 50 minutes.We didn't even get as much as an apology for the wait time! Keep in mind the waiting room is very small and drafty, plus they did not have the heat on out there.

I ran into one of my co-workers while I was there. She said she waited 45 minutes for her seat and then once she ordered her food it took an hour for her meal to be brought out.

Fortunately once we were seated our food came out quickly. The food was good but certainly not worth waiting an hour and 50 minutes for. I was very disappointed. I certainly will not be recommending this place to anyone from now on which is a shame because it used to be a great place. Since this incident I've heard from friends who have had similar experiences. Arturo Joe's certainly seems to have lost their touch since they reopened. Avoid at all costs.    [01 Feb 2008 10:52:49]

I loooooove Arturo Joes
I am a regular at Arturo Joes and was very upset when the restaurant burned down. My friends and I all love AJ's and didnt know where else to eat! I love there pizzas, chicken parmesan and they have the best pink alfredo in the state, trust me I have tried almost every restaurant, whether it be in Providence, Newport or even Boston..bottom line it's fantastic. Not to mention the service is also excellent, even when it is very busy. All of the servers are knowledgeable, friendly and attentive; which is the main reason that I keep on coming back. Last but not least the portions are HUGE and youy have enough for three meals. When it comes to waits, I don't know where these people are from but every good restaurant you go to is going to have a wait. People need to be patient, sit in the lounge and have a drink like normal people. Don't you go out to dinner to have an enjoyable night? Plus, the hostess cannot go over and kick out tables, how would you like to get booted from your table while your out to eat?    [28 Oct 2008 16:06:03]

Good place to eat
