Wonderful fish and chips
My wife and I had fish & chips and it was the best fish & chips we ever had. The fish was tender and moist and properly cooked. The breaded coating was delicious and crisp. The fries were just marvelous.

This is our first time eating there, so this review applies only to the fish & chips which we both had.    [14 Apr 2006 21:21:49]

best fish & chips around
I agree with the previous review - really good fish & chips. Succulent fish in a nice batter, fish seemed fresh, batter was perfect, very good chips, and as decent a Guinness as you could expect outside of Ireland. We went here twice in a few days stay at Newport just for this meal.

Best Reuben
I had the best reuben ever. The sandwich was piled high with tender corned beef. I liked that it was real home-cooked corned beef.
We will definitely be back!    [03 Jul 2006 10:45:49]

gone bad
I wrote the review dated 5 June. Sad to report but we just went back and the quality of the place has plummeted - the fish was in some anonymous tasteless batter coating, the chips are a smaller portion and anyway not very good. The crucnchy homemade coleslaw in June had been replaced by an anonymous probably mass-produced tartare sauce. There was a limp lettuce leaf on the bottom of the plate which summed up the meal. Too bad.
