Best Bar
It has been my favorite R.I. bar since it was a little salt box started by 3 fisherman (one of the cores of the R.I. community) The local spirit is at its best. A place for all ages, social and non-social groups. Cheers to the Mews and their staff.    [11 Jan 2003 00:18:14]

Slight Correction
I go farther back than three fishermen..to when it was only a lounge opened by Rod Robinson..But it is still a great place to party and to have a great meal.    [10 Aug 2004 03:30:11]

cajun scallop chowder is the best
Love the "got beer"/"need beer" signs you flip as needed at your table - good great, beer great, staff very nice.

When our son was at URI, he brought us here and we still visit for the beer and cajun scallop chowder whenever we are in RI from CT    [20 Jul 2005 11:16:45]
