Take a step back in time and slow down your gait....
The moment you step in the door of the Olympia Tea Room you feel as if you've crossed the threshold of another era. Pink walls and exotic art work adorn the walls. Food servers are dressed in prim and proper black and white and the menu is sparse but well appointed, as is the bar. A few stools and tables for two give you a sense of belonging to the bar area, where there you can enjoy the best martinis this side of the river. Add an appetizer, watch the strollers and the water craft outside the expansive window and let your mind wander to the days of Gatsby. Highly recommended.    [17 Aug 2002 19:02:40]

The best restaurant in New England.
The Olympia Tea Room is the best restaurant I have ever been to. The food is indescrible, the ambience is enchanting, and the service is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some fantastic food, and a great get away.    [29 Sep 2002 20:07:35]

I love the tea room
The Olympia Tea Room is my favorite restaurant. The audacious surroundings, mouth-watering meals, and amasing service, it is my piece of heaven. As soon as I steped through those doors, it felt as though I had journeyed back in time. The tea room is very much alive with its pink walls, interesting art, and bar. Its a truly classic sea-scape restaurant that makes my stays in Watch Hill complete.    [13 Feb 2008 17:47:18]

really want to like it, but never have
My family has a house nearby in town, so over the years we've tried the Olympia on a number of occasions. Every single time it's disappointed us. The view is nice, and it's enjoyable to have a drink outside on a summer day. Other than that, there's nothing positive about the place. The menu is boring, food bland, and worst of all, every server I've ever encountered has been rude! I'm not sure how they find them year after year, but they always manage to be offensive in one way or another. It's too bad there aren't more options on the water, but don't waste your time with this one!    [20 May 2009 12:34:12]
