What a great meal!!
I have never had a bad dish! Steaks are excellent and always cooked to perfection. And while they may be known for their steaks, the seafood and pasta dishes are wonderful also. Ann Kelly Tadlock is great at the grill! Her husband, Michael Tadlock, is quite the accomplished cook, too! His pasta dishes are creative.    [22 Sep 2005 14:15:42]

Small Town Resturant

Grace And Fine Cusine In Quaint Southern Town
You wouldn't expect Manhattan Dining in such a small southern town. But there it was in Blacksburg,S.C.! One of the best dining experiences I have had from London to San Fransisco in my 60+years. We just "dropped in" w/o a reservation and recieved wonderful food and service. A reserved table would have made a wonderful expeirance complete!

Great Food, Disrespectful Service and Limited Seafood
I had a great ribeye steak. My girlfriend was very disappointed when she attempted to order the stuffed shrimp which was her favorite from several years ago. When calling in the reservation, she verifed that the dish was still available. When she attempted to order it from the menu, the waitress informed us that it has not been available for over a year. The waitress also informed us that many of the seafood dishes on the menu were not available. When my girlfriend explained that she had been told that the dish was still available, the waitress did not offer any apologies for the error but only said "they don't know what's on the menu" in reference to the people that take reservations. My girlfriend told the waitress that the person she spoke to took time to check on the dish and the waitress stated "no" as if my date were lying. Best you will ever eat
This is what I call the best you will ever eat. This is like home without the fuss, great food, best meat, creative atmosphere. I drive from Florida every summer to enjoy the at home atmosphere. These people are just good folk with great food. Steak House means steak. Go to Florida for seafood.

Lost a customer
My wife and I have been Kelly's customers for over 30 years and have had both good and bad experiences there.

Last night was the worst yet....While my wife had a decent filet, the ribeye I received was horrible. It had been subjected to some sort of tenderizer or other chemical, which caused a breakdown of the texture and changed the flavor to something best described as "unpleasant".

When you pay Morton's prices, you expect Morton's quality. There is absolutely no excuse for a restaurant serving meat of this poor quality.

In addition to the food problem, the facility has cracked windows, falling ceilings, paint flaking off the outside of the building and is in need of a general overhaul.

Not wanting to make a fuss and disturb the other customers, I paid the bill and left.....never to return.    [28 Mar 2007 10:58:37]

Very Classy, Can't Wait to Go Back
Why my husband and I don't go there everytime we are in town visiting family, I don't know. They are high priced but it is well worth it, the atmosphere is classy, the food is wonderful and service awesome!
