What a great surprise. Order whatever sounds the most unlikely and I promise you will love it. The onion tart (an appetizer) made with anchovies was like a dessert. Certainly it had none of the usually heavy salty anchovy taste. Likewise, everything we ate was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The setting is plain.. the food is not. What a Surprise!
I tried my first Hanger Steak here and what a dinner! Absolutely delicious! The food and service made for an outstanding meal and makes this one place we will return for special occasions.
We also were introduced to a new (for us) Australian - Barossa Valley - wine that was exceptional. It was a blend of three red grapes (Shiraz, Cabernet and Merlot -- I THINK). Tried to find it later (for home consumption) but had no luck.    [23 Mar 2007 10:43:22]
