You don't have to die to taste a bit of heaven If you are looking for the absolute best brunch in all of Charleston, you'll have to search out this little treasure. This quaint restaurant is tucked away off of the beaten path but a good concierge will know the way. Brunch dining is a bit cramped and there always seems to be a line outside the door but the wait is well worth it. The menu has a varied array of breakfast dishes with some notable southern, Low Country specialties. Everything is made from scratch and most of the ingredients are locally grown, caught or raised. The wait staff is friendly and personable. There is outside seating in a small courtyard that has a historic Charleston feel. If you came to Charleston to experience the southern culture, The Hominy Grill is a perfect way to experience some of the tastes of the Low Country. [11 Jun 2004 10:11:11]

One of Charleston's Best Our party of four had a delightful dinner. We each ordered a different entree, no one was disappointed. After a wonderful appetizer of shrimp and okra beignets, one had the house's famous shrimp and grints, which can always be counted on. Everyone else had one of the fresh fish specials. They found the grouper very fine and the soft shell crabs not quite as good. Chocolate souffle cake topped off the meal. Our server carefully explained all of the specials. [31 May 2005 16:54:26]
