Loberster Bisque to Die For! After vacationing in Charleston I decided to live their for a year and that is when a local living on James Island started my cravings for Mimi's. There are a true abundance of restaurants in the area but this is one the locals keep busy and quiet about. Living back in Illinois now I am constantly craving my favorites on their menu; lobster bisque and crab dip. Yes you can get these items at other places, but I am telling you this small unpretentious true low country secret won't disappoint you. [31 May 2003 00:16:16]

Eat REAL Shrimp & Grits here A California native, I lived on James Island for a few months and FELL IN LOVE with shrimp and grits from Mimi's. It's magic and made me a total convert to rich southern cooking each and every sunday morning!
I'm back in California but I still recommend Mimi's to everyone visitng Charleston. [03 May 2004 22:46:27]
