Seafood~ Great food~ Great price
Looks can be deceiving. When I came into this restaurant, I didn't expect much. The decor is lacking but the long line and full large dining room told me that this restaurant has a large following, so I waited and hoped for the best. Despite the long line of waiting people, we were seated within 5 minutes and the service was incredible. Our waitress was very prompt and attentive. All of our meals were served quickly and were piping hot. The portions were ENORMOUS!!! We started with the calamari, clam platter, chicken fingers meal, and cast net pasta. The cast net pasta is pasta served with either marinara or alfredo sauce and is filled with a mixture of shrimp, calamari, scallops and muscles in the shell placed around the plate as a garnish. I was very impressed with the presentation of the food and the taste was divine. Every dish was a delight.    [24 Mar 2006 20:32:50]

The owner is a moron! DO NOT EAT HERE!
I had a friend visiting from St Louis Mo and since she is landlocked, she really wanted some seafood. There are several seafood restaurants in the Charleston area, but I have been to Fisherman's Quarters before and the food was decent for the price. I decided to take her there and what a big mistake! First of all none of the staff bothered to smile or acknowledge our presence. Then we were seated next to the employee break room where one of the waitresses was napping! No one could figure out who our server was and no one felt like they should help because "it was not their table" I was flabbergasted! I finally called the hostess over and told her that we needed a server because there were a couple things we needed. She asked one server and he started arguing that it wasn't his table.... to make a long story short, this server and I ended up in an argument and the owner decided to fire this guy right in front of me to "make things right" This totally made me uncomfortable and was so unprofessional. The owner went off about how he just had to fire his friend and he does not put up with this behavior! The owner then refuses to take care of any part of our meal because I think he really felt firing his friend was good enough! I have never had such bad service in my life!!!!!

Great Food and Great Service, and even better...the price is unbeatable!
Unlike the unfortunate experience from the man on August 24th, we had our USUAL great experience! The food was wonderful, everyone greeted us with a smile, our waitress was very attentive, and the quantity of food for the price was spectacular! We have been going to Fisherman's Quarters since they opened a few years ago and plan to continue. Don't let ONE bad experience stop you from trying it. I am sure you will love it!    [27 Aug 2006 20:59:42]

Seafood is Great but the Customer Service is HORRIBLE!
I certainly can identify with the customer who experienced the lack of service(8-24-06). My husband and I ate there this past Saturday. We stood in the waiting area roughly 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We ended up having to alert the cashier who didn't seem to notice us standing there. Once we were finally greeted, the waiter was very unprofessional and tried to seat us in the corner near foul smelling dishes! We requested another seating area. Once we were finally seated in an appropriate area, 20 minutes passed before anyone could decide whose table it was. Just a word to the wise: if this organization doesn't clean up their act, they're going to end up with major discrimination lawsuits like Denny's and Cracker Barrel.    [13 Nov 2006 12:07:35]

Must try
I know this restaurant has changed it's act.....the owners have taken control of the restaurant once again...(since January 07) the food is excellent and the service has returned to excellent....if it has been a while since you visited you must try this again...the staff is always trying to surpass it's past and you should always leave happy and full...if not tell someone...they will always do their best to make your visit the best...this is a wonderful restaurant for everyone....seafood, steaks, pasta and wonderful desserts...if you do not come in with food on your mind...don't bother because the portions are enormous and you can leave with a to-go box...they also have great take out.....    [05 Feb 2007 16:06:28]

When I went there, I was craving oysters and was disappointed. Neither the appetizer nor main course had flavor, and no one seemed to care. I've good word of mouth, but for my money I'd just as soon go to Captain D's.    [31 Mar 2007 00:38:29]

I've only been here once, but when I'm back in this area again, I must say I will definitely make a special trip to this restaurant. The food was excellent and the price was great. Keep up the good work.    [30 May 2007 16:01:02]

Underwhelming
My wife and I went here on a date. We were nicely dressed. They sat us next to the kitchen, at an over lit table. The waiter was actually quite efficient, but the kitchen was not. The seafood was as described on the menu, but overcooked and greasy like fast food. We won't be back.    [26 Jun 2007 15:31:32]

Superb
This restaurant is one of the best that I have ever been to. They are constantly making improvements and working on the satisfaction of their guests. I have been here many times and you can tell it is getting better. The service, atmosphere and the food. They have recently started giving a bowl of soup with all entrees on the week days and hush puppies on the weekends so they can show appreciation to there guests. The owner is a very pleasant man to speak with and you can tell he is proud of his establishment. Since the owners have come back, you can tell a real difference. This place is where I will only eat seafood. Great food large portions and great service    [13 Nov 2007 22:18:42]

awesome place
I love this place, food is great, new desserts are great, people are friendly. We actually had a problem one time when my wife's oysters were over cooked, we sent them back, and new ones came out awesome, they are always trying to make their customers feel good about their experience. I came in for a take out one night with my mother and we were playing around because she is so short and couldn't see the menu. The cashier gave my mother a menu to hold, and even joked around with us, that she was short. She was so funny and made our experience a delight. I don't know her name, but she is blonde. I will definitely go back for take out to see her, she always has a smile and a friendly personality. You definitely need to eat there, you wont be disappointed    [28 Nov 2007 11:33:50]
