Description
This is a small diner style restaurant which serves breakfast lunch and dinner. They serve easy to fix American food, nothing elaborate. The atmosphere is that of a small town where many of the people seem to know each other. The cost of meals is cheap.

NASTY! Don't go unless you like tons of second hand smoke, waiting 10 to 15 minutes on the employees (who had more grease in there hair than in the kitchen) to visit your table simply to take your order (I tried to get their attention but they were so busy chatting amongst themselves and sampling tidbits of food from the back that they did not notice me), and after 15 minutes of waiting my daughter and I left. Just visiting the place made me feel so gross that I could not bring myself to eat the rest of the night. [11 Feb 2006 17:38:01]

Not Recommended My son and I went here because we had a coupon for a free meal with the purchase of a meal.
We waited 10 minutes for a clear table and another 15 minutes waiting for a waitress to bring a menu.
The place was full of smoke and the patrons all seemed to know each other and chatted between tables and to the waitresses while we were made to feel like outsiders.
The food was greasy but was cooked. we ordered breakfast which was edible, but definitely was lacking in taste and presentation. The portions were large, but why would you want a large portion of nasty food?
This is a horrible excuse for a restaurant and should be avoided! Don't waste your money. [22 Feb 2006 14:13:19]

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME This has to be the worst place to eat so far! The service was slow, the servers are more interested in talking than serving. They were rude, and slow to serve the food once it arrived. The food was edible and that's about it. The worst part was when my husband asked for a banana split-which was on the menu- and he was told he'd have to bring his own banana! Go across the street to Pizza Inn, the food is better& cheaper and the people are nice. You won't choke on the smoke either!! [01 May 2006 15:37:20]

It's a roadside diner I'm new to summerville, I've visited that diner many times and I believe it's a relative of Alex's diner in mount pleasant. As connoisseurs of unpretentious and home cooked diner food, big portions of it, and excellent coffee only found in a diner, we have overlooked the less than attentive service. We like the down home restaurants. If you love the old fashioned atmosphere of a Greasy Spoon, it's great. the service was not bad, everyone was polite - they do all know the regulars and old-timers and chat a bit too much and socialize rather than serve, but once you have their attention, it's fine. and they have an unusual way of giving you a tab with no precise prices on it, you gotta rememnber to write down the cost of what you ordered. the hot roast beef sandwich and salads were wonderful. You gotta be a fan of the old fashioned diner. [07 Nov 2006 22:59:32]
