Caveat Emptor
Dined at Al's Oasis this evening with my daughter and two words come to mind in writing a review: TOURIST TRAP. The prices are outrageous! Who in the world charges $8 for a hamburger? The 8 oz sirloin steak I had with just a baked potato was $20 and it was absolutely awful. The service was poor, the lady at the register argumentative and rude when I complained, and the overall atmosphere was abominable. Seating is at "bench tables" like in the Army, so there is no privacy when dining. Like eating at a dude ranch or a crappy summer camp straight out of "Leave It to Beaver".    [22 Jan 2004 23:11:35]

Nice setting, prices a bit high, food ok. Back dining room better, when open. Front dining room seating at long tables with other people (we like to dine alone). Tourist trap for sure, but what place isn't, when you are on vacation? Has a beautiful view of the Missouri River!!!!
