Nice setting, prices a bit high, food ok. Back dining room better, when open. Front dining room seating at long tables with other people (we like to dine alone). Tourist trap for sure, but what place isn't, when you are on vacation? Has a beautiful view of the Missouri River.

While the prices are a bit high the food is good. The salad bar is fresh and every thing on it is good, especially the soup, which is homemade.
The buffalo burger is good.
The exceptional items are the beer battered onion rings, which are to die for and the homemade pies. Try the the hot apple pie with cinnamon ice cream.    [03 Sep 2007 15:04:55]

Tourist Trap or Tradition?
Yes, the prices are high, but I give it a good review overall. Eventually, regular travelers through South Dakota will ask if you've been there. Don't like the prices of the food? Order the coffee and move on down the road for something more reasonable. Scenery from restaurant was very nice.    [23 May 2008 00:44:15]

Didn't feel welcome
Entered and felt like we were bothering the hostess. Wairtess seemed equally displeased with our arrival. One waitress was rude because SHE made a mistake and tried to deliver food to the wrong table and got angry with the customers when they said it was not there had to say No 3 times). It was not!
