Harpeth Grill-best food in Brentwood
This hidden little resteraunt in Brentwood is a great place to go if you're in the mood for food in general. The catfish is excellent, with just a light breading. The burgers are amazing, the waitress said it was 1/2 pound of 100% angus beef, and it is worth every penny. The cajun flavors are amazing, gumbo and red beans and rice, words can't describe. I've been there several times and each time I order something different and I am never dissapointed. At dinner they give you a basket of hushpuppies for an appetizer, and I admit I never liked hushpuppies until I tasted those with that comeback sauce. (And it works, because I keep coming back) The comeback sauce also comes on the Catfish PoBoy, which is to die for, with the cole slaw (vinegar base, not mayonaise) and onions, it's just...words cannot describe. My wife had the catfish, fries and slaw. It was excellent except for the slaw, but there is no slaw in the world as good as my grandmother's.

I had the filet, baked potato and salad. I ordered medium-well but got medium-rare. The staffnoticed the error without me saying a word, and they voluntarily adjusted the price to rectify the error. They gained our loyalty. Good food, great service.    [17 May 2008 18:11:51]
