A place to go back to
I've eaten at this restaurant a couple of times while visiting Chattanooga, shopping at Hamilton Place Mall, or just passing through.

Every time I found food excellent (I love Greek food) and the atmosphere friendly. There were ample vegetarian choices for the vegetarians in my party.

Unbelievable
The service sticks out in my head. Attentive, not intrusive, and very informed. The food is incredible. There aren't many dining experiences in Chattanooga, but this is definately an experience.    [10 Sep 2003 13:11:00]

Bad night
Very slow service, especially considering that the place was not busy. Salad was wilted and the meal was not hot. Not at all like we expect from this place.

Wow! As my husband pulled in the parking lot, I immediately said, "great choice, it's been almost two years since
we've been here and all I remember is how delicious the food was. Especially the Maryland crab cakes. Needless to say, that's exactly what I ordered this this time. They were wonderful!!!! My husband and 3 daughters ejoyed their meals also. Unfortunately their side order of mashed potatoes were cold. The waiter so graciously replaced them with steaming hot potatoes. They were delicious. My husband took a few bites and then said "yuck" there's a hair in my potatoes. We immediately told our waiter and he brought it to the attention of who we think was the manager. She came to the table and never introduced herself. She said that she was sorry for the hair being in the potatoes and that everyone in the kitchen wears a hair net. She leaves the table and then the waiter comes to the table and asks for the hair that we found. My husband gave it to him in a napkin. The waiter then brings our check. We notice that we were still being charged for the mashed potatoes. I immediately asked for the manager. She said that that hair did not belong to anyone there because it was black and that no one there had hair like that. My blood began to boil and I became very angry because she was pretty much saying that the hair belonged to one of us. She was actually arguing with me. I was so amazed at her way of handling things. I told her that if we couldn't afford to be there, then we would have never even pulled in the parking lot. All I wanted was for them to compensate us for the cost of my husband's mashed potatoes and she never even offered. Finally, a young gentleman who we paid for our meals,offered to give us 3 of our drinks for free. I said "thank you" paid for our meal and left. Opa!!!
My husband and I love this place! We live in Nashville and discovered this delightful restaurant on a weekend trip to Chattanooga about four years ago. Since then we have gone back many times. We stay in the Hamilton Place Mall area so we can be sure to go there. We have even made a day trip just to eat dinner there!!!

It is so good, unique, and friendly. We always feel welcomed even with our pre-schooler. It is often hard to find a nice place with awesome food that is kid friendly. At Acropolis we always feel like family and the food and service can not be beat! You have to try it for yourself.    [13 Oct 2006 14:43:20]

Horrible Service
We were excited to go here, but things quickly went downhill. We waited some time for initial table service and finally one of the managers had to get our drink order. When the waiter finally took our orders, our drinks were gone and we requested refills. We asked three times and waited thirty minutes before he finally came to our table with my wifes' soup and he still did not bring any more drinks. Additionally he brought me a side salad which was amazing since I ordered a salad for dinner. When we pointed this out he huffed away, again we waited twenty more minutes and then decided to leave.
We spoke to the manager and hostess to no avail.
